I enjoy reading travel photography coffee table books. Travel photography is a powerful tool to tell stories, create understandings of multiple cultures and countries.

“Burma, An Enchanted Spirit” by David Heath is a leather bound over-sized coffee table photography book. David has his own language in capturing photos of Burma (Myanmar). The book masterfully tells the stories of each person, landscape and society in general.

David and I met at his book launch event in New York City in 2015. We became friends since then. David has multiple photography projects capturing different countries. Each project reflects David’s passion and appreciation of those countries.

From time to time, I take virtual adventures through the lens of “Burma, An Enchanted Spirit” to connect with that faraway place where I was born and raised: BURMA.
