We Don't Have To Like Each Other
American political scientist and the president of Eurasia Group, Ian Bremmer, mentioned how three threats and our response will change the world in his recent book: The Power of Crisis. The book analyzes why climate emergency, pandemic politics, and disruptive technologies call for a global cooperation. Only a global response can limit the current and future crises. The Power of Crisis provides a logical explanation for each crisis and offers potential solutions. Global leaders don't have to like each other; they must learn to share political and economic values which are needed to solve issues. My main takeaway from The Power of Crisis is that the status quo global leaders hold on to can only inevitably hinder the progress in solving crises.
