From BURMA To NYC

Life in Burma was a humbling experience. Daily power outages were normal. To illuminate our evenings when running a generator was not practical, many households relied on unscented candles. These simple candles served as powerful reminders that there is always light even in the darkest of times. From a young age, I developed an association between candles and peaceful, inspiring memories.

When I arrived in the United States, I discovered scented candles. Candles made me feel at home. After years of experimenting with various brands, I began to notice certain qualities lacking in the candles available in the market — specifically, a clean and extended burn time, along with pleasantly subtle fragrances that do not overwhelm the senses.

I founded Thinzar NYC candle company to bridge those quality gaps. I am fortunate to collaborate with suppliers who share my vision and respect for the environment. Our company's primary focus lies in crafting sustainable wood wick candles that burn longer and cleaner.
